A message from Mrs. McMains 

As principal, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Our Lady of Perpetual Help School website! We are very proud of our school and are pleased to share our school community with you. In September 2008, our school will celebrate 60 years of providing a Catholic Education to the children of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish.

The faculty and staff of Our Lady’s School are dedicated to providing a well-rounded education, in which our religious beliefs are integrated into our academic curriculum. We think Our Lady’s school is a very special place. All of our parents give service to our school and participate in a variety of activities that assist and enrich each of our students. Our Pastor, Father Mark Warnstedt, invites the entire school community to join the parish community in celebrating Friday Mass together each week. Our students are given the opportunity to serve as Lectors, Ushers and Altar Servers at these masses.

OLPH students are active in Christian Service, Student Council, Athletics, PeaceBuilders, Art Club, Academic Decathlon, Speech Contest, Geography Bee, Science Fair, Student Newspaper, Respect Life, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Cheerleading and Altar Serving.

I hope as you journey through our website you will be able to appreciate the very special place that is Our Lady of Perpetual Help School.

There are a variety of ways to support OLPH that take little to no effort.

 

  1. MATCH FUNDS Many companies will match donations made by their employees. Simply contact your Human Resource officer to complete the paper work. Think about it…you make an annual donation of $500 to OLPH anyway. Why not let your company make one too?
  2. Wells Fargo Bank will make a donation to our school for every Checking Account that is opened. Simply designate OLPH School as your Charity of Choice when opening the account.
  3. You’ve heard about it. Have you heard how easy it is? Cars4Causes will come to your home and take your old car, boat or RV. You simply name OLPH School as your Charity of Choice and school will receive the proceeds from the donation of the vehicle! They do all the work and you get the TAX WRITE OFF! Call: Cars4Causes at (800)766-2273.
  4. Wills and Trusts The parish received a sizeable donation from a very generous parishioner who simply named OLPH as one of his benefactors in his Will. This is a simple way to remember OLPH School over the long haul. For more information on naming OLPH School in your Will or Trust call: Mr. Hector Perez at (562)923-3246.
  5. Support our School It’s easy. Simply support our major Fundraising events. Carnival is held annually in the fall and the Walk-a-Thon is held annually in the winter. The Wine Tasting is held in the spring. Attend these events and / or support OLPH by becoming an Event Sponsor.
  6. Sponsorship Sponsor a club or student activity. Make a donation to be used specifically for a club or student activity. A list of club and activities is available upon request.
  7. Show your support by taking out a Yearbook Ad. Ads are due in February of each year.
  8. Tile Wall Purchase a Tile on the OLPH Tile Wall and support the school Endowment.
  9. Student Scholarship Make a donation to one of the several Student Scholarship Funds at OLPH.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help School officially turns 60 years old on September 13, 2008. We will celebrate this important mile stone on January 23 and 24, 2009. Please click on the link below for the list of celebration events. You can also RSVP for different events or sign up to assist with one or all of the very exciting activities we are planning.
